Students will explore a variety of two-dimensional and three dimensional media throughout the semester to build artistic confidence and creativity. Teaches students more proficient art techniques. Visual Arts Intermediant ( Art 2)-В Prerequisites: Visual Arts-Beginning or Portfolio

Students will have many opportunities to participate in local and statewide art cometitions.and exhibitions. A final semester exam will include vocabulary, written response and student work created during the exam. Formative assessments will be given with portfolio reviews and collaborative project critics. With the disciplines and processes introduced in the class students will creatively apply with projects the elements of art, (line, color, shape, texture, space, value, and form) during the first nine weeks and continue to explore the principles of art (balance, contrast, movement, unity, pattern, rhythm, emphasis, harmony) the second nine weeks. Disciplined based art education (DBA) will be the foundation of the art courses, involving the production, criticism, history, and aesthetic values in the art content.
